I took a large party to La Meridiana last week and I cannot praise the hotel enough. The rooms were spacious and clean, the views stunning and the situation next to a grove of ripe orange trees was delightful. The staff particularly Antonio, Eduardo, Roberto and Salvatore in the restaurant bent over backwards to ensure we all had a wonderful stay. Pompeii was the highlight of our trip and the shopping in Sorrento was also much appreciated.

Stayed here last week and would happily recommend this Hotel to anyone. It was very clean and we though it very good value for money.
As has been said before, the location is ideal for sightseeing and strolling into the main square etc.
We thought that all the staff were very friendly and helpful and knew we were arriving and meeting up as two couples from different destinations - so gave us rooms next to each other.
The food at the hotel was very good and plentiful with quite a varied choice, although I think we might have upset Antonio (Head Waiter) because we love to eat out when on holiday, so we didn't eat there every night.
It was very easy to get around and we did Capri and Heculaneum under our own steam by Hydrojet and train respectively but did the Amalfi drive as a select tour - only 14 in a small but comfortable mini-bus.
We would not hesitate to go back to Sorrento and this Hotel.

The location is:
a lovely 7-minute walk (stroll, actually) to the old-town;
great for arrival & departures by train or bus;
(seemed) a good place for auto access and parking if you are a driver;
couldn't be in a safer neighborhood across from the Caribinari station (but all of Sorrento is safe)
next to a lemon grove providing a feel that I was "away from it all" (away from all what I'm not sure, but I liked it).

We have just returned from a holiday at La Meridiana, and had a really enjoyable stay.
This hotel is in a very good central location for the bus and rail stations, and also for the shops and the port for crossings to Capri and Positano.
Our bedroom was very clean, a;though the shower in the en-suite was well past it's sell by date. As we were on the first floor, we did have some traffic noise.
The dining room staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was contintental, offering as much or as little as you wanted to eat.

La Meridiana is clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff both on the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but they are cleaned every day and fresh towels are also provided each day. Myself and two friends stayed half board and were very pleased with the food. The breakfast was basic but sufficient and the quality and quantity of the evening meals were excellent. Would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay here again.
